Afroditi Malliari is an Associate Professor in the Department of Library Science, Archival and Information Systems at the International Hellenic University. She holds a degree from the Department of Archives and Library Science at the Ionian University and a PhD from the Department of Applied Informatics at the University of Macedonia.
She teaches courses such as Thesauri, Research Methods & Statistics, Information Systems in Libraries & Archives, and Archival Description Standards.
She has extensive professional experience, having served as Head of a special library at the European Center of Communication, Information & Culture, as well as Head of the Libraries and Archives Department at a software development company.
Her scholarly work includes publications in academic journals and international conference proceedings. She has participated in numerous research projects, both as a team member and as a Scientific Coordinator.

Interests
Her research focuses on user behavior in libraries and archives, information literacy, archival literacy, information needs, and data analysis within the context of libraries and archival institutions.
